CUBA is an inviting tropical cocktail of African colour and rhythm, Spanish Colonial heritage, Latin American culture and all year round Caribbean sunshine with an average yearly temperature of 28°C. January is the coolest month and August the warmest.

With a population of 11.3 million Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean blessed with seemingly endless palm-fringed tropical beaches, azure skies, warm translucent turquoise oceans and fascinating coral reefs and cays. Add to these ingredients a warm and friendly mutli-racial people, the Cuban passion for music and dance, the seductive rum cocktails, the sultry tropical nights, the relaxed Afro-Caribbean atmosphere and you now have an enchanting exotic tropical paradise in the Caribbean.

Cuba boasts some of the best holiday resorts in the Caribbean, including the famous 12 mile long Varadero beach, located to the east of Havana on the north side of the Hicacos Peninsula on the Florida Straits. Varadero beach offers a wide range of activities including swimming, snorkelling, water sports, scuba diving, golf, horse riding, sailing and fishing.

Besides Varadero beach there are many holiday resorts in Cuba including Santiago de Cuba which is the second largest city in Cuba, the idyllic tropical island of Cayo Coco, Guardalavaca where

Christopher Columbus first discovered Cuba, the tropical island paradises of Cayo Largo and Cayo Coco, the island of Cayo Santa Maria which is regarded as a biosphere reserve area and an ideal resort for quiet and relaxing holidays.

The colourful city of Havana, the capital city of Cuba, with a population of two million, is a "must" during your visit to Cuba. Founded in 1519 Havana is one of the largest cities in the Caribbean. Old Havana is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here you can see examples of impressive Spanish Colonial architecture, vintage American cars, revolutionary slogans, all night parties and friendly natives. Well worth a visit is Ernest Hemingway's famous watering spot, the Bodeguita del Medio Bar/Restaurant, located near the Plaza de Catedral. It was here that Hemingway made the cocktail drink "mojito" famous. Joining Old Havana to the modern city is the great Malecon Promenade stretching for miles around the seafront from the El Moro Castle to the garden suburb of Miramar.

Cuba offers everything for the perfect holiday including adventure trips, escorted island tours and endless sunshine.

Christopher Columbus the great explorer once famously described the island of Cuba as “the most beautiful that eyes have ever seen”.
